YOUR IDEA | UP TO 50 PARTICIPANTS INTEGRATED SATELLITE CLIMATE DATA SOURCES | 24 HOURS OF SOLVING KEY CLIMATE ISSUES | CLIMATE CHANGE RELATED TO AGRICULTURE CHALLENGES TO SOLVE | 13 - 14TH OCTOBER 2017

Are you interested in climate change and are you tempted to try to work with Earth observation data?

Are you looking for a 24 Hours Adventure? Are you eager to spend quality time with high level professionals from Space Business and Science? Then Eovation Data Festival is what you are looking for!

EOVation Agriculture: Data Festival is a competition on the boundary between hackathon and startup weekend, focused on working with Earth Observation Data (EO data) and its use to combat the impact of climate change in agriculture.

At Data Festival, we're going to:
  • train you how to work with EO data and combine them with in-situ data
  • show you interesting examples from practice
  • help you create a team you would be working with
  • offer you climate challenges you would face (or you can come with your own challenge!) and data sets
  • give you all the support you might need by high level professionals from business, data analysis, programing or agriculture area
  • give you some boosters, such as food and drinks, to uplift your spirit 😉
… and then it'll be up you to brainstorm, work and impress us with your project.
So do not hesitate and register for the great space adventure!

You will register individually and form the team of 2-5 members at the spot. The goal is to create the most innovative idea using EO for combating climate change and saving environment.

Winners can look forward to interesting prizes: a visit to the European Space Meteorological Research Organization EUMETSAT and follow- up with space incubator ESA BIC Prague who will provide you with consulting and advisory services in both the technology and business areas, as to help you develop your ideas even further and possibly to establish a start-up,and many others

General objective of the event:

Designed for students, engineers and entrepreneurs alike, EOvation is an event targeting creativity. EOvation is a mix of a traditional hackathon and a Start-up weekend. Throughout the weekend, teams will imagine and design innovative services and products derived from space technologies and space acquired data to solve the societal challenges that appeared due to climate change influence. An experienced support team will allow those participants with the best ideas, to create a start-up company, with the help of specialized incubators as well as the professional network they will encounter during the event.
